WaterWeek

WaterWeek, organized by the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam (IABR), was a lecture series discussing the different aspects of water management in times of the current climate crisis, focussing on the locally relevant questions, such as floods, droughts and deteriorating water quality. The visual system developed for the posters, invites and social media communication represents these various ways of looking at water, a substance constantly in motion, with particles shifting on top of each other. The core images were derived from the imprint of water itself – marbling experiments – that recall ways of seeing water on different scales: enlarged through the microscope lens, flowing at our feet, or shrunk through the camera of a satellite.
