Globalized Identity

Globalization and identity are two contradicting but closely connected concepts, both hard to define, both evoking very diverse opinions. Science is the best example in this case. Science, built around the modernist, globalist ideas strives to create an universal language on a global scope, so that all scientific results can be compared and discussed. However the distinct identity of scientific fields becomes striking when putting different approaches next to each other. This reader is an exploration of these topics through fragmented texts of several disciplines: social studies, political science, psychology, media science etc. Globalization and identity are also reflected upon in the choice of typefaces and the contrast of the original grids of the source texts.
